I have not posted in a while due to my relocating from the City to the Country. Although any transition does include its own amount of stress, this move has had a very positive impact on my Art! Now I can paint from life and it is an adventure discovering my Art subjects. My new neighbor is a Blue Heron who visits the pond behind our new home. I am currently planning a painting including the Heron and the old Barn where he hangs out occasionally. I knew my Fujifilm Camera was not the best but I now realize just how much it needs replacing after trying to get good images of the Blue Heron for painting. My best option is sketches from life! In the City wildlife did not stay around long enough for this to be an option, but...now the Country opens up a whole new set of subjects and options!
Above are a few Original Oil Painting Aceo's that I recently painted to get back into the swing of things. These are on my Website listed on the Aceo page. These little 2.5" x 3.5" paintings are for sale either on the website or on eBay Auction. and click on the link (Items for Sale). Don't forget to keep an eye out for new large paintings to come.

The bicycle was the inspiration for this painting! Having Spring Fever, I was taken away to such a peaceful meadow where I became lost in this beautiful world.

Karen Sistek Magic Sizing Technique
I decided to further explore the Karen Sistek Magic Sizing Silk Dye Painting Technique and the more I use this technique the more I love it!! The Magic Sizing Technique along with the Dry Brush Technique allows me to obtain much more detail than ever before when dying silk. Above is a Silk Scarf Dye Painting in Progress. Visit my website to view more of my silk paintings.
